Doug Harris was voted in and accepted the pastoral position in December of 2019 and started as the Pastor in January of 2020.

Pastor Doug graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies in 1986 from Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. He accepted his first position as youth pastor at First Assembly of God in Linton, Indiana. Doug was ordained in 1988. He has ministered in Brooklyn, Chicago, Decatur, and Palos Heights. His most recent Pastoral position before coming to Rensselaer was Pilsen Church in Chicago, Illinois, the church that they started in 2009 as a church plant.

Doug is passionate about the Word of God and believes wholeheartedly in the power of prayer. He loves the Lord's Church and the community outside the church and has a deep desire to see these two communities connected.
